Went to the "efteling", that's an amusement park, with some friends of mine. Had forgotten how much fun it is to feel your stomach in your throat *g*.
Especially loved the Flying Dutchman
The story behind the ride:
I will sail, even if I have to sail to Judgement Day…! In 1678, Captain Willem van der Decken sailed out of the harbour against all the rules and sealed his own fate. His fabulous ship was cursed and changed into a mysterious, fiery ghost ship that is doomed to sail the seven seas for ever as ‘The Flying Dutchman’…
You take a trip in a longboat, reach a height of 22.5 metres, then “fly” at more than 70 km. per hour over the track, zoom another 420 metres, and finally land in the water with a tremendous splash. The ride subjects its to up to 2 G’s, how cool is that!
Also saw a hundreds of extremely scary happy puppets, which totally brought out the inner goth in me. Will post a picture of that soon ;)

Sleeping with the fishes...
So I actually stepped into a tick layer of wet cement.
I was walking around the zoo, on my break, and decided to take a look at the Cuba exhibit where they keep the flamingo, spoonbills and such. They were loading up wheelbarrows at the end of the exhibit and walking to the front side of the place to pour the cement to make water pools and walking paths for the public.
So I walked through the exhibit and when I got near the end everybody started to scream STOP!!!! To late, both my feet were submerged. They had already put cement on a small part of the road there to see if the cement was good before going to work on the the part that was further away. I guess it's a good thing I don't work for the mob...
And yes, cement shoes dry quickly and are quite heavy to walk in, D'OH!
